The company asked us to advise and help upgrade the brand and marketing communications ready for global growth strategy. We carried out our usual process of interrogating the company, the rail and the construction markets. We discovered that GKD are the top seller to the plant hire and OEM’s in the UK rail sector but didn’t exploit this fact and didn’t ‘look’ or ”feel’ like a market leader or serious international brand.
Our top-line recommendations included a new brand name to state clearly what the company creates (technologies), a new visual branding/logo, and adding a positioning statement based on its commitment to product reliability.
