I started my career in IT in the early 70’s working in roles ranging from software programming through to project management.
During this time, I worked in different countries throughout Europe as well as Australia and America.
Whilst working in America, I was approached by the owner of a consultancy company planning to open an offshoot in England and looking for someone to head it up. I took on this new challenge in 1988 and I subsequently grew the company to a turnover of over £2.5 million.
In 1993, I set up my own company (MHC Consulting Services Ltd.) matching and allocating IT consultants to major corporations across the UK. The company expanded to 70 consultants working for MHC and in 2001 I set up new operations in Holland and Germany.
My achievements were recognised in my local business community by being awarded ‘runner up’ in the Dorset Business Awards.
In 2015, I sold the business to OCSL Ltd, a £90 million IT international consultancy, and until July 2017 worked with them as a consultant to transition my company into their business.
When the business concept of Powerhaus was explained to me, I offered my management experience and expertise in order that the team can be relieved of the day-to-day business chores to concentrate on helping and supporting the company’s clients.
